Old Ely Mill was built in the 1920 by a former Yale graduate who grew tired of civilization and built the mill and a shop on 30 acres in the Smoky Mountains. It's a touch of history in the mountains. There is a craft shop and rental cabins. Local honey is available seasonally. Still owned by the original family.
If you go:
Hours vary but they are open seven days a week. Worth a walk around to see the old buildings.
