Herlong Mansion began as a simple two-story pine "cracker style" farm home in 1845. In the 1880s, it became a bed-and-breakfast. It's on the National Register of Historic Places. It's the perfect stay over when visiting Alachua County. It has a spacious parlor with its front facing windows, wood-paneled walls, and hardwood floors, with 11 guest rooms, four of them are suites, plus the Pump House Cottage, and Carriage House. Each room is unique, has its own bathroom and shower. The cottage and Carriage House are pet friendly. Out back you'll find the mansion's 1930 Model A Ford.
