Montgomery Zoo - Montgomery, Alabama

Montgomery Zoo is a the place for young and old to meet lots of wildlife. There are animals from five continents. The Giraffe Encounter lets you meet and feed these graceful creatures eye to eye. Parakeet Cove puts you inside a habitat filled with beautiful flying birds. The Petting Zoo is a special place where kids can meet and touch African pygmy goats, llama, sheep, ducks, and baby doll sheep. You can purchase a bag of feed at the enclosure gate and offer treats to these guys. They will not refuse. Zoofari Skylift Ride lets you see the wildlife from a new angle.

If you go:
The Montgomery Zoo and Mann Wildlife Learning Museum are open year round, seven days per week with the exception of Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Hours are 9am - 4pm. The last admission tickets are sold at 4pm daily. The last admission to the Mann Wildlife Learning Museum is at 4:30pm. Major animal exhibits begin closing at 4:30pm daily. They ask everyone to exit the front gates by 5pm. There is a Zoo Gift Shop and Overlook Cafe
