This impressive bell, one of the world's largest, was presented as a token of friendship by the South Korean government to the United States during the U.S. bicentennial. Modeled after an older bell that is a Korean national treasure, this bell has a diameter of over 7 feet and stands 12 feet tall. It sits inside an exquisitely crafted pavilion with twelve pillars representing the zodiac, in Angels Gate Park.

      If you go:
The park is open every day, and there is no admission charge. The bell can be viewed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. You can hear the bell rung the first Saturday of every month at noon, and on five special occasions each year.
