For both the bowling fan and the merely curious, the International Bowling Museum and Hall Of Fame maintains fascinating and informative exhibits about the history of bowling, dating back from ancient Egypt to British monarchs to the taverns of early America. And there's a section on the high-tech future of the sport. The facility also features a huge archive of material related to the history of bowling that can be accessed for a small research fee.

      If you go:
Open Tuesday through Saturday 9:30 to 5:00 and Sunday Noon to 6. Closed Monday. The museum is located across the street from Six Flags, and down the street from the home of Major League Baseball's Texas Rangers.
