• The Old Tavern - Tuscaloosa, Alabama

Constructed in 1827, this tavern and inn was a busy gathering spot in its heyday. Not only was it located at the junction of major roads, but it served the public during the Civil War and during a time when Tuscaloosa was the state capital. It's now a well-restored testimonial to that history. As a bonus, it stands next to the fascinating and picturesque ruins of the old capitol.
