A must-see for fans of this evergreen TV series, Walton's Mountain Museum is situated in Schuyler, VA, home town of The Walton's creator Earl Hamner. Exhibits include replicas of John-Boy's Bedroom, Ike Godsey's Store, and The Walton's kitchen and living room. Equally interesting is Hamner's boyhood home, Waltons Hamner House Museum, a short walk down the road. The house is open to the public through guided tours - you can even sit at the window where the stories of Ma, Pa, John-Boy and the rest of them were written.

      If you go:
Walton's Mountain Museum is open from 10:00 am until 3:30 pm daily (last entry 3:00 pm), from early March to the end of November. Tours of the Hamner House take place every day from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
