This 25 room Victorian Gothic mansion was where Mark Twain and his family lived from 1874-1891, the period which he later described as "the happiest and most productive year's" of his life. Guided tours take visitors through the this beautifully restored property and explain how the Clemenses lived and worked here, and how financial problems eventually forced them to leave. The visit offers something for everyone, from children to Twain scholars.
