Art's Dune Tours - Provincetown, Massachusetts

A family business since 1946, Art's Dune Tours offers an off-road exploration of the dunes of Cape Cod National Seashore. This is not a thrill ride on sand dunes but a relaxing, poetic tour of a protected ecosystem that has long been a temporary refuge for artists of various kinds (including playwright Eugene O'Neill). You can see the shacks where they have stayed, and still stay, and learn some fascinating tidbits about the history, flora and fauna from an informative and friendly guide. You'll also have a chance to get out of the vehicle for an even better opportunity to examine and photograph the enchanting landscape.There are one hour tours at several times during the day, as well as a two hour sunset tour, and even a sunset tour with beachside dinner, including a clambake option. Other tours include the addition of sail or kayak excursions.
