• Agawa Rock Pictographs - Agawa Bay, Ontario

      A 100-foot tall white granite rock on the edge of Lake Superior is the canvas for the several centuries old paintings created by the Ojibwe people. The images show canoes, animals, and a horned creature that represents the spirit of the waters of Lake Superior.

      If you go:
      The pictographs can only be viewed by a challenging walk onto a rocky ledge bordered by Lake Superior. Due to the potential danger, they can only be visited during the summer months and when Lake Superior is calm.
