Near the site of the Revolutionary War's 1780 Battle Of Camden, this park consists of 107 acres of reconstructed and interpreted Eighteenth century structures. Among them are a British fortification, a tavern and the home of Joseph Kershaw, the founder of the city of Camden. Historical interpreters and guided tours make this a visit that sheds light on colonial America and an important even in the nation's history.

      If you go:
Open daily until 5 p.m. except Mondays and major holidays. Guided tours at 10:30 and 2:30. A small admission fee is charged for the Historic Camden restoration site. The battlefield is accessible free.
