Not just a single museum, but a complex of sites paying tribute to the history of the Delta (encompassing 27 Arkansas counties), the cultural center now features 5 historic buildings, 3 Civil War-era parks, and a pavilion for concerts and special events. The structures include the historic depot that was the first site to open as a museum. The visitors center contains a radio studio that hosts King Biscuit Time, the longest daily blues broadcast in the world.
If you go:
Free admission. Buildings open Tuesday through Saturday, 9 to 5. You can attend the live King Biscuit Time broadcast weekdays 12:15 to 12:45 PM.
