• Lakeport Plantation - Lake Village, Arkansas

Constructed in the Greek Revival architectural style by slave labor in 1859, the Lakeport is the only remaining antebellum plantation house on the Mississippi River still standing in the state of Arkansas. Faithfully restored to its appearance at the time it was occupied by the Johnsons, a prominent planter family related to President Andrew Johnson, the Lakeport is a museum offering a glimpse into the vanished lifestyle of the old South.
