• Healdsburg Museum & Historical Society - Healdsburg, California

      Housed in a former Carnegie Library building, the Healdsburg Museum & Historical Society safekeeps the rich history of the area. Peopled originally by the Western Wappo and Southern Pomo-speaking people, the California Gold Rush brought settlers to the area who discovered its rich soil. Today the town sits in the middle of an important wine-producing region. The museum houses artifacts, photos, documents and much more plus changing exhibits and events throughout the year.

      The museum and its research center are open Wednesday - Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm. Free. Street parking nearby. It's within walking distance of the Healdsburg Plaza.
