• Patagonia Lake State Park - Patagonia, Arizona

      This southern Arizona 265-acre man-made lake offers many recreational activities including boating, fishing, swimming, birding and hiking. The camping area overlooks the lake. Birders can spot elegant Trogan and other species along a shaded birding and hiking trail at the east end of the lake. The adjoining Sonoita Creek State Natural Area offers access to more hiking trails.

      If you go:
      Entrance to the park is from 4 am. to 10 p.m. Day use fee is $15-$20/car with up to 4 adults; $3 for bicyclists or individuals. Electric, non-electric and boating campsites can be reserved. Amenities include a marina, boat rentals, market, swim beach, picnic areas, camping, showers. Personal watercraft and certain boats are prohibited, water skiing allowed. All services in Nogales; the nearby small town of Patagonia has restaurants and gift shops.
