Kluane Lake is one of the stand-out highlights for anyone who drives the Alaska Highway. The lake is the largest in the Yukon, with 158 square miles of surface, a bit more than fifty miles long from north to south.

The Alaska Highway passes through the small communities of Destruction Bay and Burwash Landing along the southern shore. There is camping, boating, fishing, hiking, and lodging available.
