The only easily accessible location in Denali National Park to capture a photo of Mt. Denali reflected in the still waters of an alpine lake is Reflection Pond. But there's more to it than simply getting there: the mountain has to be clear, and on any given day, the odds are 2 to 1 against you, especially in summer. Further: the air has to be still, because even a light breeze will ripple the surface of the water, and spoil the mirror effect.
If you go:
Take the park shuttle to Wonder Lake (an 11 hour round trip from the Visitor's Center). The bus doesn't go directly to the Reflection Pond, so you have to get off at a crossroads a mile or two before the end of the line at Wonder Lake, the bus driver will know the spot. The Reflection Pond is an easy half mile walk from the crossroads. For the return trip, any Green bus passing by will pick you up (as long as they have a seat).
