Beatty Museum and Historical Society - Beatty, Nevada

This busy museum has all the charm and character of the best county museums with exhibits covering everything from Beatty's mining history and that of nearby Death Valley to the stories, memories and personal items of local people. Plus of course, the obligatory stuffed bear! Surprisingly, the museum only opened for business as recently as 1995 but has proven so popular / successful that it has outgrown two other buildings before moving to its current location.
