The Sherman House Museum is a beautifully restored wooden frame home in which William Tecumseh and his 10 siblings were born and raised. Built in 1811 and extended by the Shermans in 1816, the house has been restored tolook as it would have done when the family lived there, and includes family furniture and memorabilia. Some of the bedrooms have now been set aside for Civil War exhibits including a re-creation of General Sherman's field tent.
