A number of hikes and activities await the visitor to Catalina State Park. One of the prettiest hikes is the Romero Canyon Trail, which climbs up to the Romero Pools with trees, rocks and water. Visitors can also camp, picnic, spot birds and wildlife, ride trail bikes or take a trail ride on horseback.

Catalina State Park is located off Highway 77/Oracle Road. Best times to visit are spring and fall, summer can be very hot. A per-vehicle day-use fee is collected at the entrance station. RV spaces and camping spots are available; fees can vary by time of year. Showers, water and dump station are available for campers.
