• Museum Of Science - Boston, Massachusetts

There are science museums and then there is THE Science Museum, namely this one on the Charles River in Boston. It's well deserving of such a distinctive title, being an enormous complex that houses such varied exhibits as the Computer History Museum, a butterfly garden, the Theater Of Electricity featuring the world's largest Van de Graaff generator, and the famed Charles Hayden Planetarium. It's a museum that truly makes science, and even mathematics, fun for all - it has even featured a special exhibit on Star Wars.

      If you go:
Open daily except major holidays, with longer hours on Fridays. Some planetarium shows and other special events are held in the evenings. Parking is an additional charge.
