Steam Locomotive

Contruction began on the Virginia & Truckee Railroad in 1869. "The Queen of the Short Lines" was built to transport timber and ore between Reno, Virginia City, and Carson City. This steam locomotive now transports tourists and train buffs on a six-mile round trip to Gold Hill.
