Zouaves Drill Team Mural in Sterling, Illinois

Sterling has fifteen murals in the downtown area
depicting scenes from the 18th and 19th centuries.
This one is entitled "Sterling Lady Zouaves"
and depicts a women's drill team that was organized
in 1917 and holds a world record for wall climbing.
The mural is located on the south side of Brink Circle
at Central Park. This Kerby mural was painted in 1997.
