It's not Red Rocks Park, but you are getting closer.

Default There's more of the Fountain Formation?

The geologists on the forum should be able to figure this out.

Default I'd never even heard of this place before....

Roxborough State Park -- Wow, this is cool -- I've never even heard of this place before... but finally I see some white standstone uptilted in the correct placements!

Here's a winter time shot of nearly the same spot, methinks.

OMG -- look at the orientation of the park relative to the homes here!

Excellent, excellent puzzle!

Yup, Roxborough State Park is the least well known of the four major Fountain Formation outcrops along the Front Range.

It's like visiting the Garden of the Gods minus all the tourist trap stuff. Just a visitors center, some nice hiking trails and plenty of wildlife.

Default Is that a golf course?

I've just taken a closer look at the lower section of the aerial photo of Roxborough State Park and it looks suspiciously like there are golf greens and bunkers there. Surely not?

GLC's right - we do still need a final answer for Twilight's boat/canyon challenge:

And in the meantime here's one from me (which should be instantly recognisable to films buffs):

Yes, that is Arrowhead Golf Club just outside the park on the north side. It's a public course.
