Default What's to see on way?

I am originally from Australia and now live in Oklahoma.
We are planning a trip to San Antonio in mid April.
Wanted some ideas on what to see on the way and maybe a good place to stay part way.

    Default Texas?

    Did someone say Texas?

On your way through Dallas, check out the memorials and museums around Dealey Plaza -- especially the 6th Floor Museum.

How about Waco for your overnight, and you could stop at the Texas Rangers Hall of Fame, a modest exercise in Texas pride, ego and glory! I don't think they're talking about the baseball team!

Also, the Lyndon Johnson National Historic Park is just west of Austin in the beautiful Texas hill country. If it were me, I wouldn't miss that either. See

If you have time for some additional mileage, you could visit Corpus Christi and the Padre Island Natl Seashore.

Finally, don't let anyone tell you a visit to The Alamo in San Antonio isn't worth your time. Stop by there and sense the spirit of the place and you'll understand better why many Texans get all fired up about it. Bob
