We are planning a family road trip for next June when I finish university. We were thinking of flying to LA and then doing a circular route through Arizona and Colorado incorporating Grand Canyon and the Hoover Dam along the way. We could do with some advice on other attractions that we could include for the kids so they don't get bored with sight seeing. We'll be travelling with a 6 year old and a 2 year old - any suggestions?!

Default How long do you have?

A lot will depend on how much time you have for this trip. If you only have two weeks then forget Colorado. It's to far. If you have 3 or 4 weeks then that's a different story.

Zion National Park, Glen Canyon National Recreational Area (Lake Powell), Bryce Canyon National Park, Capitol Reef National Park, Arches National Park, Canyonlands National Park(all in Utah), Colorado National Monument, Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, Million Dollar Hwy between Ouray and Durango, Durango if your are into trains, Mesa Verde National Park, Monument Valley, Grand Canyon and of course Disneyland.

My kids loved to go to these places. Your kids might have different ideas.
