  1. Default I can't find the map

    Hi
Apologies in advance for the stupid question. I want to "create a hand drawn route"
To create a manually drawn route: 1. Scroll and zoom to the point where you want to begin drawing the route. (For this kind of route, you might find it helpful to use the hybrid map/satellite view, which you can select by clicking "hybrid" in the upper right corner of the map window.)
but I can't find the map in order to scroll and zoom.

    Default

The map should be right at the top of the page, above the spot where you found those instructions.

Are you on a PC or are you trying to do this from a mobile device?

Default Hand drawn routes are straight-lines only (not real life maps!)

Also check that your browser is not blocking pop-up windows, pop-up windows are used by the program to populate the maps.

BUT creating "HAND DRAWN ROUTES" are a mistake in most instances. You should only use the "hand-drawn map" option if you are creating a route 50 miles from any paved road. The "hand-drawn" tool was created for use in places where gravel and paved roads don't exist. The main RTA Custom Mapping program can create a incredibly complex map -- I've constructed routes and maps that cross over other sections of the (paved highway) route like giant figure 8's.

Tips for using the program can be found by reading the first post in this thread.
