  1. Default Road Trip Help - Toronto > Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina

Planning to drive solo with a little sports car from Toronto to Virginia/West Virginia/North Carolina (Blue Ridge Parkway, Skyline Drive, Deal's Gap - curvy and scenic trip) from June 1-10.

Not sure if this is too much of a demand for a drive with this much mileage and only one driver in a short time span.

As you can see from the following 2 Google Maps (can't plot more than 9 locations on each) these are just the places I want to visit, but it doesn't include the drive to get to/from Toronto.

Thoughts from people who've done this before, or know the area please?

    Much appreciated.

Default I Don't See Why Not

Welcome aboard the RoadTrip America Forums!

Altogether, I'm guesstimating that you're going to be driving around 2800-3000 miles, so you'll need to average roughly 300 miles a day on your trip. Even on slower, twisting roads through the Appalachians, that shouldn't prove unreasonable. More importantly, it should also leave room for some quality time out of the car in places like Shenandoah and Great Smoky Mountains National Parks, through the New River Gorge, in Mount Rogers National Recreation Area, and at other scenic and historic sites along your route. Don't underestimate the later because no matter how scenic drive, if it's too long it just turns into a slog without some significant breaks to just 'smell the roses'.
