    Welcome to the RTA Forum!

The most direct route doesn't really have that much in the way of mountains. That is I-65 to Nashville, I-24/I-75 through Atlanta to Florida, and then I-10/I-95 to Daytona.

I have to ask, what are you towing and what is your tow vehicle? Typically, the only way you'd have issues with towing on most interstate routes, especially in the east, is if you are trying to tow too much weight with too little vehicle.

One alternate route that would let you avoid the bit of mountains between Nashville and Atlanta - and perhaps more importantly, avoid Atlanta traffic - would be to take I-65 all the way to Montgomery and then use US-231 to Florida. US-231 is not quite interstate quality, and there is a bit of city traffic, but it is mostly a high-speed 4 lane route.
