  1. Default San Francisco to Las Vegas

HI. We are flying into San Francisco on March 23rd 2016 and out of Las Vegas April 7th 2016. The only part we have booked so far is 3 nights in Las Vegas at the end of the holiday. We would like to spend time in San Francisco first and also take in Yosemite, Sequoia and Death Valley. We would like to stay at Tenaya Lodge in Yosemite but have not looked at any other places to stay. We are looking for recommendations for how many nights to stay in each place and whether it is worth staying in more places along the way to break the journey up as we have 15 nights in total. Thank you

    Welcome to the RTA Forum!

With 15 days, You would have some time to add a few more stops to your trip. Heading down the coast, or driving out to the Grand Canyon would be two more popular stops on a trip like this (GC is too far from Vegas to do as a daytrip, and most guided trips from Vegas only go to the west rim, not the more spectacular National Park.)

Because Tioga Pass will still be closed in early April, you'll have to go around to the south, meaning you'll start in Yosemite, then go to Sequoia, continue to the Bakersfield area to cross the Sierras and then head onto Death Valley. Sequoia to DV can be done in a full day on the road, but if you want to break things up, Lake Isabella might be an option to consider.

Thank you Michael. How long would you recommend to stay at Yosemite and Sequoia?

Your tour seems exciting and yes you can add some more tourist spots as you will be staying in San Francisco then I would suggest you to explore SF area a bit more as it has beautiful attractions like Alcatraz island, muir woods park and night life of SF is amazing.
