  1. Default Las Vegas to San Francisco via yosemite

Hi people. I'll be over in las vegus in early July. I'm planning on driving from las vegus to san francisco via death vally and yosemite national park. I'll be taking 4 days to do this. I plan on stopping off in 2 places in yosemite. Can anyone advise on the best route and things to see in yosemite.
    Thanks all.

Hello and welcome to RTA !

From Vegas you can take 160 to Pahrump and then use the locals route, Ash meadows/State line road to Death valley junction and across DV on 190. At Furnace creek you could detour to Badwater basis ,the lowest point in the US and on the way back go through Artists drive. Bishop on 395 is a popular overnight stop. You then take 120 (Tioga pass) into Yosemite where you stop and take in the views. Yosemite valley, Glacier point and Mariposa grove of giant Sequoias are all popular places, don't miss the views from Glacier !! You will get leaflets and maps when you arrive and the Rangers wlll happily share their knowledge.
