Default When you have more money than...

This link was sent to me by Peter Thody: Somebody's idea of an ultimate go-anywhere vehicle!

The best part of the images is to scroll to the bottom of the article and look at his hand-drawn descriptions of the inside and exterior of this truck. (Found in the gallery of photos on that link).

    Default Forget it.

Hardly a camper VAN. More like a camper TRUCK. Fancy having to worry about all that gadgetry on a holiday.

Default With a couple of modifications... heck yes

I love gadgets -- you never saw the Phoenix One -- but it was as chock-full of electronics as one could do (almost) at the dawn of the Web.

This one is a bit extreme -- but I am real familiar with the chassis and -- yeah, I could do this!

    Default I could be wrong.....

but I have always thought of Phoenix One as a 'work' vehicle.... an office on wheels. From what I have read it never struck me as a camper.... which by definition is a vehicle to 'get away from it all'.

Default It was mostly home -- we weren't on a holiday!

The Phoenix One was our only home for 6.5 years -- We weren't trying to get away from anything -- Home & office was simply along for the ride with us.

The original manufacturer was building leisure "RV"s -- it was our customization that added the work elements.
