  1. Default Summer vacation in the "southwest"

Me and my husband is taking a trip in the USA for 3weeks
Rapid city-Black Hills- Yellowstone- Teton-Driggs -Salt Lake City.
But now I don't know which roads we should take...
Anyone that can recommend either or both ways:
Salt Lake City- Bryce Canyon -Zion N.P. -Phoenix
    Salt Lake City-Moab-Arches-Canyonland -Phoenix ?
Tips for those routes would be grait!
We have 6-7 days ,would it be enough?

    Default A week would do.

Hello and welcome to the RTA forums !

So if I am reading this correctly, you have a week and want to choose from two options to get from SLC to Phoenix ?

For option 1 you could simply drive down I15 to UT20 and US89 to UT12 for Bryce canyon and then make your way back to 89 and south to UT 9 for Zion NP. You would thern make your way to Page AZ and head south towards Phoenix. With a week you could look at other stops such as the Grand canyon North or South rim, Lake Powell, Antelope canyon, Monument valley and the red rocks of the Sedona area.

To head to Moab for Arches and Canyonlands you would take US6/191 south of Provo to I70/US191. From Moab head south on 191 to 163 through Monument valley to US160/89. Then from here you could also visit the south rim and Sedona.

You could do either quite comfortable in 6 or 7 days and have a little time to enjoy the sights.

You could combine the two by going Moab > Bryce canyon [via Capitol Reef] >Zion >GC > Phoenix, but would leave you short of quality time in each park. With an extra day or two though ....?

A suggestion for a small alteration. When coming down US-191 to I-70, rather than take US-191 into Moab, continue about 12 miles further along I-70 to exit 204 and onto route 128. That is a much more spectacular drive into Moab, right by the Colorado River.
