    Default A wonderful route !

Hello and welcome to the RTA forums !

To get from Vegas to Furnace Creek you could take the 'Locals route' which is 160 to Pahrump and then take W. Bell Vista Ave/Bell Vista Rd/Ash Meadows road just north of town to Death valley junction, where you turn right and immediately left to get onto 190. Once you have had your stay in Death valley follow 190 across the park and take 136 to Lone Pine and then north on 395 to Mono Lake and then 120 [Tioga Pass] into Yosemite.

FC is quite close to Vegas, so you could consider spending one night there and another further along the road, either in Death Valley such as Stovepipe Wells or as far north as Bishop on 395. You could possibly drive the June Lake loop road and visit Mono Lake, but allow yourself a nice amount of time to stop and soak up the scenery along Tioga Pass, perhaps taking a stroll in the Meadows or around Tenaya Lake. Once in Yosemite, be sure to visit Glacier Point and Mariposa Grove of giant Sequoia trees as well as checking out the valley.

One caveat. You don't say when in June you are visiting, and anytime in June will still run the risk of Tioga being closed due to winter snow accumulation on the high ground. If it were closed you would have to go south around the mountains via the Lake Isabella/Bakersfield area.

Your odds look to be a bit better than 50/50.

    Default Fingers crossed !

I'd say you would have a reasonable chance, but nothing is certain. The weather does at it pleases ! You can follow reports and progress in the Tioga Pass Prognosticator thread where you can also join in the guessing game and have the chance to win a tank of gas.

Default Time to visit different areas.

With 2 nights at Furnace creek you have lots of time for sight seeing. You can head there via Beatty or the route I described earlier. There are lots of attractions such as Dantes view, Zabriske point, Artisits drive and as you make your way on 190 you will come to the Sand dunes and Stovepipe Wells. Heres a good map of Death valley and for more info visit the NP website.
