    Default A few options.

Hello and welcome to the RTA forums !

I'm presuming you leave Oky on the 16th and not 5 days later ? If that's the case you could drive to Albuquerque on day1 as a full day on the road, perhaps with a quick stop at Caddilac ranch. From here you have a few options, staying on I40 and perhaps visit Petrified Forest NP and possibly sleep in a Wigwam in Holbrook, 'Stand on the corner' in Winslow and arrive in Flagstaff from where you could visit the South rim of Grand canyon NP.

An alternative would be to head up to Four Corners NM [or Canyon De Chelly] and drive through Monument valley to the Grand canyon. From GC you can take another section of 66 through Seligman to Kingman and then visit Hoover dam on the way to Vegas. Note thast 66 was decommisioned many years ago and largely replaced by Interstate.

There are many other options along the way but how much you want to explore will also depend on how much time you want to spen in Vegas. Four to five days for either route would be pretty relaxed and give you a full day at the canyon, which is well worth it.
