  1. Default Traveling with a parrot

Can anyone advise me, I will be leaving Canada ( Barrie ON) heading to my Florida home in Fort Myers and planning on bringing my Yellow Naped Amazon Parrot with me. Has anyone done this, if so what did you do/have to prepare for boarder crossing both into the US and then back into Canada. I've been researching on line and have yet to read then same criteria. Also any suggestions on places to stay, I'll be on my own so I'm planning on 3 days 2 nights. Thanks! ! !

Welcome to the RoadTrip America Forum!

From what I was able to find on the subject, the bird must be a caged species and will be subject to a veterinary inspection. I found the same thing as you - that there is a lot of conflicting information. I think your best bet would be to contact the border station where you plan to cross and get the requirements directly from them. Beyond that, I think the other documentation that you should already have (veterinary records, proof of ownership, etc.) would be helpful in your journey.
