  1. Default Fall Foliage Trip from Boston to New Haven

Anyone have any good ideas for a route from Boston to New Haven in mid-October that will have lots of fall foliage colors?

Welcome aboard the RoadTrip America Forums!

I've said more than once on these forums that you'd be hard pressed to find a non-scenic road in New England. For your particular trip, and having driven many of the roads between those two cities, I'd suggest the following, Use the Mass Pike (I-90) until you are comfortably out of the Boston metro area (roughly: beyond I-495) and then switch over to US-20. Follow that west to MA-169 south at Charlton City. In Bristol CT pick up US-6 west to CT-66. Then at Middleton CT take CT-17 down to New Haven.

I would consider taking Route 2 out of Boston to Route 202. Get on Route 91 in Holyoke and into New Haven on 91.
