  1. Default Tampa, FL to Seattle, WA

    Hi all,

I am getting ready to leave on a road trip from Tampa to Seattle and would love any advice you might have on how to make the trip more comfortable and enjoyable. I am traveling with my cousin so we will be sharing the driving responsibilities. Thank you!

    Welcome to the RTA Forum!

Probably the single most important things you can do to be comfortable and enjoyable is to plan a trip where you are on the road for a reasonable amount of time, and make plans to stop frequently - even if they are only short stops to get a break from the road.

That means you should plan a maximum of 500-600 miles in a day, even with 2 drivers. If you go the shortest route, that would mean about 6 full days on the road, although you can certainly go other routes based on things you might want to see.
