Default Maps used in a video

Hi. I finished my field trip report from last year and its turned out ok. My wife took hours and hours of video as well as my thousnads of photos.

Im just starting to edit the video and would love to have a map in it at time showing where we are at the start and progressive as the trip continues.
Has anyone done this and any idea on what maps to ue and how to go about it.
Any help would be appreciated. Im hoping to finish the videos before heading back for Take 2 next year.

Default I can give you some programming code...

Please take a look at one of the RoadTrip Attractions articles like this one. Is that map size and etc, what you have mind?

    Something like that Mark.
I want to be able to highlight the route so far for each video and maybe at the end have a map showing the whole trip.Just makes it easier for people to know where we are.
The first DVD coverd from LA to Tehachape to Seqoia to Kings Canyon,Yosemite, Sacrament to Klamath,so to be able to show that on a map.(that made up 1 hr DVD).

Default The Map Center was built for such an application!

In that case, the Map Center mapping tool can be used to create individual legs for each video segment and once created you can display the map right in the post.

Here is a discussion thread about using the RTA Waypoints to make custom maps (with routes and attractions shown on each map).
