Trip completed, more or less as planned.
Sunny skies most of the way, including yellowstone np.

#1- Michigan- Chicago
#2-Chicago-(Madison)-La Crosse (or Rochester)
#3-La Crosse-Sioux Falls
#4-Sioux Falls-Rapid city, (Badlands detour,Wall Drug)
#5-Rapid City- visit Ellsworth Air Force Base, Rushmore, Jewel caves.
#6-Rapid City- Cody via detour to Devils Tower.
#7-Cody- Yellowstone East Entrance to Gardiner.
#8- At Yellowstone. Stay at West Yellowstone.
#9- West YS-Idaho falls- short drive, leave YS late. Relax at IF.
#10-Idaho falls- Craters of the Moon- Boise.
#11-Boise-Baker city-The Dallles
#12- The Dalles-Portland (via Historic Columbia River Hway)
#13-Portland(pm)-Eugene- delayed by a day at Oregon University
#14-Eugene- Coos Bay(Via 101)- left late
#15-Coos Bay- Ukia (Redwood HWay)-visit City of Ten Thousand Buddhas.
#16-Ukia-Hayward,Ca- Visit Berkeley U along the way.
#17,18 at Hayward- visit Stanford, San francisco. rest.
#19-Hayward- Castaic Jct near Valencia.
#20-Lax for long flight home.
