  1. Default From Seattle to Yellowstone with kids

HI, We are planning a trip from Seattle to Yellowstone in August.
We were thinking to drive 7 hours the first day and the rest the next day, and stay 4 days in yellowstone. We have one 4 years old and one 10 months girl, so we have to stop every 2-3 hours to rest.
    Do you have any suggestions?
    Thank you

    Hi chilis,

My kids were very good travelers at that age and so is my grandson and we could easily do that kind of miles in two days. You will know best what your children can do. My oldest was 4 1/2 and my baby was 1 1/2 the first time we took them to Yellowstone. They had a great time. We had a single wide two seat stroller which was great for doing all the geyser areas and Mud Volcano. I didn't have to worry about the older one stepping off the walk way and getting hurt.

Do you have any lodging yet in the park? If not, it's probably booked up by now, but you might be able to get in on cancellations. If you decide to stay outside of the park, then West Yellowstone is the best location outside of the park to stay and see the park.
