    Default RoadTrippers Community

Just about every road trip has a purpose or a theme and we applaud your decision to focus your upcoming trip around such a concept. But this forum was created to provide personal advice to travelers for road trippers to share their expertise with others. I encourage you to use the forum in the way that its been working for the past decade. Sharing tips, ideas and suggestions is what we do and we prefer that members participate in that discourse in that way.

Default What is the time frame of this trip?

    Enid, OK
    Dallas, TX
    Nashville, TN
    Charlotte, NC
    Jupiter, FL

That's a very interesting line-up of cities and towns. How long will you have for the trip? How did you choose them. I've spent time in all of those places. A site you might helpful is the Quest-4 site -- A couple of guys traveled around the USA interviewing people about what made their lives successful -- A different focus and medium from yours --but perhaps a similar approach in terms of how they met people to interview.

    Happy Planning...

    Thanks for the advice Mark.

I have about 3 and a half weeks for this trip. I have a reason for visiting each of these places. I'm going to Telluride for a bluegrass festival, Dallas for a wedding, Charlotte is home, in FL i'm picking up a traveling companion and then headed back to school in CO. All of the places in between these cities are the places of residence of people i know in some way shape or form (though i've never met a few of these hosts).

    Default 5000+ miles

3.5 weeks is about right for traveling ~ 5000 miles (but some of those days will be long days!) As you make your plans, you might find the Map Center to be a useful tool. I did a shortened version of one of the possible routes and found about 154 road trip attractions within 100 miles of such a route. If you look at "My Maps" on the Map Center page, you'll see that I saved a map in your account for you to play with.
