  1. Default October Roadtrip pulling a Horse trailer (Memphis to Seattle)

I am looking for the flattest route through the Rockies. The plan is I-80 to I-84 and then I-82 up to I-90. My question: Is I-90 through South Dakota, Montana and Idaho flatter?

Yes it is. I-90 through Montana mainly runs through valleys. Take I-55 to STL, I-70 to KC, I-29 to Sioux Falls, then I-90 to SEA. I-80 through WY is over 7000' for a significant portion of the state and tends to be quite windy.
