  1. Default Seattle to Las Vegas for Christmas 2010 by Honda Civic & No chains

I am driving from Seattle to Las Vegas with my family this christmas and would like to avoid snow as far as possible. What are my options? One suggestion I got was to go to US 58 and then on to SR 99 and then get on to I-5 near mount shasta. This will help me bypass grants pass. Any other suggestions please?
I will be driving Honda Civic.

Simply check the road and weather conditions before you leave and enroute. Once you get over the Siskiyous, it should be clear sailing all the way to Bakersfield, then over CA-58 to I-15.

OR-58 to US-97 back to I-5 is not a given.

It may even be better to take I-90/I-82/I-84 to I-15 at SLC.
