My wife and I are enroute from Camp Lejeune, NC to Seattle, WA. We have made it as far as Collierville, TN and tomorrow we stop in St. Louis to visit family for two days.
We would like to see Mount Rushmore in SD and Big Sky country in MT, and we would like to arrive in Seattle no later than July 16, if possible.
Our current plan is St Louis to Kansas City then up toward Sioux Falls and across to Rapid City; then follow 90 until we get to Seattle. We are not fans of mountain passes but previous posts indicated sticking to the interstate made that portion of the journey less arduous, and we don't want to waste time seeking out flatter routes.
Does this seem like a reasonable plan, or is there a better option?
Thanks in advance,
