Default Look at the snow in the NE!

Wow, I've never seen this much snow coverage from a satellite image before!

    More information here!

What a coincidence! My friends in Baltimore and in southeast PA have never seen so much snow on their sidewalks, driveways, porches, and cars before!

Just look at those magnificent folds evident in Central PA! A veritable cornucopia of plunging synclines and anticlines. A geologist has got to love satellite images!

Its nice to see that for once the "snowmagedden" storm that hit the east coast was actually a big storm, not just one of those events the rest of us call winter but gets blow out of proportion because it effects NY/Boston/DC.

Of course, I'm probably just bitter because we're in the middle of our 3rd 12''+ snowstorm this winter, and I'm putting off firing up the snowblower yet again...

Ah, but for the population density in the East there wouldn't be as much concern for the weather. Traffic tends to grind to a halt in these areas on good days, picture it in the snow.

This may make for a rainy Spring in New England when all that snow evaporates - could be a good year to go waterfall hunting in the woods.
