Booking Hotels/Motels in advance?

Hi party people

Im going to US to do a road trip from Miami to NY.

Just wondered if we should book all the accomodation before hand? We only going for three weeks, so im thinking about booking everything in advance.

Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. Weekends I book ahead. If I am near popular tourist attractions such as a National Park or National Monument, I will book ahead. If I am staying for several days or a week, I will book ahead.

It really comes down to your own tastes and preferences. This article pretty much lays out the pros and cons. Personally, I like flexability, so I generally avoid making them unless there is some place I know I want to be on a given night.
