  1. Default Naples, FL to Orlando, FL

Which route is better in terms of fun from Naples to Orlando?

    1) I-75 to I-4
    2) I-75, US-17, US-98, Polk Pkwy, to I-4. This was suggested by mapquest. Check out the link below.

I plan on driving from Key West to Orlando, and am considering going through Alligator Alley on the way. I wasn't sure what to do once I got to Naples. Thanks in advance.

My preferred choice would be neither of those. For sure, I-75; I-4 may be the quickest, but no fun at all. Just traffic, traffic and more traffic, and very little opportunity to see anything.

You will absolutely love Alligator Alley. Be sure to spend some time at the wayside stops, especially where there is the alligator viewing platform. They really put on a show for us, earlier this year.

I would by-pass Naples, and turn off Alligator Alley onto highway 29 and then 27 north to I-4. On the other hand, if you have the time and inclination, take 29 to 80 to Lake Okeechobee and then pick up 441 to 192. That is a very pleasant drive.

  3. Default Time difference?

What is the time difference between taking Rt. 29 to US-27 to I-4 compared to the route involving Lake Okeechobee?

That really depends on the amount of sightseeing you do and how often you stop to take in the environment and exercise your camera.

Frankly, I don't know. I have only done each of those once, and thouroghly enjoyed both, without bothering how long it took. To me that spoils the immediacy of a road trip.
