  1. Default Best software (S&T?) w/ this feature ????

    Hello all,

New member here. First post. Be gentle with me.....

I am looking for recommendations for trip planning software.
Microsoft Streets & Trips seems to be the most-commonly-used software here but I've been unable to determine if it has a feature that I really really want.

The main feature I am looking for is something that after I have established a route, will allow me to find certain types/categories of POIs along (or within an amount of miles I input) that route.

Basically, I want it to help me find things I wouldn't want to miss as long as I was in the neighborhood.

For instance, if I'm planning a trip from Fredtown to Wilmaville, I'd like to be able to see all the CATEGORY=historical attractions within MILES=20 miles of a planned route.

Hope I'm making myself clear. Appreciate any helpful comments.

    Default Welcome!

Welcome to the RoadTrip America Forum!

Streets and Trips allows search of POIs from a specific point outward, but I think you could put in a search for POIs from key locations along your route and get the information you're looking for that way.

    Default S&t

S&T will do this, as posted before. Also the AAA triptik I beleive will do that as well.
