  1. Default Getting from southern California to Tennesee?

My sister and I were thinking of taking a roadtrip to Tennessee for my cousin's wedding in a couple of weeks.

I was wondering if anyone can give me an advice on a way to get there without going through any mountain ranges...prefferably sticking to flat land and hills.

    Default across the great divide

    Welcome to the RTA Forum!

Well, you can't travel across the country without crossing some mountains. At the very least, you'll have to cross the continental divide, and depending upon where in TN you are heading, its quite possible you'll be in some mountainous areas out east too.

Having said that, I-10 out to Texas would be your flatest way to get to the other side of the Rockies, although all interstates are going to make mountains as easy as possible.

You're looking at a good 4 days for the trip, one way.

Default Flat flat and more flat

Yeah, rt 10 through south AZ, NM and TX is VERY flat. Then 20 and 30 (once you get to Dallas) is just s flat. Then in Arkansas, there are a few hills, but thats about it. Tennessee is pretty hilly though, but nothing bad really

I really don't see the reason for taking flats roads. No offence, but they are pretty boring and can put even the toughest drivers asleep.

Luther, "boring" is a bad word on these forums. Just so you know! Nothing is "boring" unless you make it so.
